So much to do and so little time.
I figure I will relax this weekend and wind down from all my travels, and then on Monday, start accomplishing the things that need to get done this summer.
Now I'm sure some of you may think my plans sound exactly like procrastination and possibly an admission of terminal laziness... And you could be right... Except that deep in my heart, I actually feel like I'm going to start accomplishing things on Monday, maybe not early Monday morning, like sunrise, but a little later, like sometime after lunch but certainly before bedtime. Because if I wait until dark, many places where I need to make appointments won't be open again until Tuesday, but I could get an early start right after lunch on Tuesday.
Now, a lot of my readers, in fact, all three of you know that it's been my custom to stay off the road and hunker down before every holiday for the sake of safety and sanity, because who in their right mind wants to get out on a jampacked highway and go to a State Park that is overflowing with annoying people, loud generators, and barking dogs? And since Memorial Day appears to be a holiday solely for giving people a reason to drink more than they should, play loud music, and kick their dog every time he stops barking.
I have no intention of joining that nightmare, and as we speak, I am taking precautions to make sure I can stay hunkered as long as necessary to preserve my peace, quiet, and tranquility. And the only way I can accomplish that is to make sure that all these things I need to get done this summer, including a myriad of appointments, do not get in the way of the serious hunkering that I will have to do to survive the long Memorial Day weekend.
So wish me luck, because I've got plans to get serious about getting things done this summer, just as soon as I get the Memorial Day holiday over and done with.

Checking out a few bicycles at the elementary school Bike Lot….. Chrome-plating a bicycle is very expensive. But when you're ten years old with no job, covering it in tin foil is a lot cheaper and almost as good.
This kid obviously doesn't want to be alone.
Anyone who has watched the movie E.T. understands this kid.
Now, here's a bike in the school parking lot that I can relate to.
