Settling in.
My grandkids had some kind of field day at school this morning, so the kids participated in various outdoor competitions, which were fun to watch and interesting to photograph. They only had half a day of school today, and I believe school is out for the Summer somewhere around Memorial Day. And with both parents working, Grandma and I ....mostly Grandma.... Are the primary babysitters.
My daughter has an office job working for the state of Colorado, so she can do most everything from home on her computer. Sometimes she has to go to her office, but usually she can work from home, which makes the job much more interesting when you don't have to fight Denver traffic for an hour every day.
So technically, our daughter could, and sometimes does, take care of the kids while she's pounding the keys, and even though her job is fairly stressful and requires dealing with legal documents that have to be perfect, she's never had the problem of taking care of the job while pounding the kids.
I've only been back in Denver for two days, so I still haven't fully gotten traveling out of my mind. Sometimes I wake up thinking that if I look out the window, I’ll see a Saguaro cactus. And every once in a while, I still feel like I need to pack up and go somewhere.

I just missed this snowstorm on my way back to Colorado.
These New Mexico Puffins are masters of disguise. In order to blend in with the resident geese of the lake, these Puffins use bark and twigs to disguise themselves to look exactly like a Canada goose. I, of course, was not fooled for a moment with their near-perfect masquerade.
