A celebration is in order.
Tomorrow is my appointment with the VA audiologist. I've had these tests done before, once when I went into the service, and at my separation physical when the Air Force and I, after four years, finally parted ways.
I'm assuming the tests probably haven't changed since the last test I had in 1969.... Listen to the various frequency tones, and when you can't hear them anymore, press the button. I suppose it would be nice if they had a digital computer way of doing that, but somehow I kind of doubt that testing your hearing has changed very much in the last 50-something years since I've had one, and other than making the hearing aids smaller, with longer-lasting batteries, I rather doubt that fixing hearing problems has changed all that much either.
I sure do have the urge to go out to Pete's. With getting my VA appointment over and the Cripple Creek police off my back, I feel the need for a little celebration. And what better way to celebrate than by boondocking at Pete's and testing my new Lithium iron dodo battery and inverter.
But the rainy weather kind of worries me. Starting Tuesday, the weather guessers are calling for an excellent chance of measurable rainfall for the next 8 consecutive days. And even though all that cloudy weather virtually guarantees some interesting sunset pictures, enough rain out there can wash out some culverts and cause problems on the Jeep trail to my property. So I don't know what I'll do, I guess, just like most of the time, I'll make up my mind when it's time to go.
