Mucho mega El Niño

This is the third day of cloudy, rainy weather with highs in the 50s, but fortunately, on Saturday the clouds mostly clear, highs reach the 70s, and that trend continues for the next week. Colorado has had some weird weather, and they're saying it is all because of the Mucho mega El Niño, which gives me a lot to think about for Arizona winter weather.

I notice on many of these forecasts that there's often a small sliver of warmer weather in Arizona's southwest corner, and that makes sense because Saguaro cacti don't like cold weather, and most of them live in the Sonoran Desert. So, in the worst case, I would have to spend most of my winter in that general area instead of running all over Arizona.

Always keep in mind I'm not on vacation; I'm just trying to live where the weather's tolerable and as cheap as possible. And speaking of cheap, diesel fuel sure ain't; I saw it today for $6.70 per gallon. I imagine a lot of giant motorhomes and humongous fifth wheels will spend the winter at home instead of in southern Arizona because of those prices.

One of the few Remaining roses in the garden. This rose was very lucky because it was only a few degrees away from being covered with ice instead of raindrops.

Sunset at Pete's.

The white spots you see scattered around Eleven Mile Reservoir are houses and campers.
