Smooth Sailing.
I went to the eye doctor yesterday and had the eye exam I needed, had the Colorado government paperwork filled out, and ordered new glasses. Some of these things I've needed since last year, when I was in Arizona, but they never worked out. Now they have to work out because I've got to get my driver's license renewed, and this is the first step towards that.
It's going to take about two weeks to get my new glasses in, but that gives me plenty of time to get to the DMV before my driver's license expires next month. I feel much more relaxed now with a lot less stress because getting that paperwork from the eye doctor was really the last thing standing in my way of renewing my license. And since the paperwork lists the condition of my eyes, there should be no need for the DMV to even check my vision. There should be nothing left for them to do but take my picture, fill out some papers, and tell me they'll mail me my license. And since the papers the DMV gives me will serve as a temporary license until I get my real one, it should be smooth sailing from here on out.

My grandson curled up on the sofa early this morning, probably thinking about school starting tomorrow…I know I would be!
My granddaughter also curled up on the sofa. Probably thinking about seeing all of her friends at school tomorrow.
What passes for the family dog is also curled up on the sofa. Probably thinking about nothing since he already knows how to beg for food, and that's all that matters to him…. Come to think of it, that's about all that matters to me anymore.
