Where should I go? What should I do?
It's been a quiet weekend. I didn't do anything or go anywhere, so There's Not Much to talk about.
I sure could use a mini-vacation, but I think early in September will be my first chance to take one. I'm not sure where I will go or what I will do, but I need a change to kind of perk me up a little bit. I've been feeling more lazy than normal lately, but with A mini-vacation into the mountains with Fall on the way I'm sure will put me in a better mood.
I could go to Alamosa, Colorado, and look for some sandhill cranes. They should be heading this way about that time.But I do worry that they might have changed their flight path and ended up somewhere else, like they did last winter when I was in the Bosque del Apache and there were hardly any sandhill cranes there. So I wonder if that could happen here in Colorado and, unlike the New Mexico and Arizona Sandhill cranes, even though I couldn't find any in the Bosque del Apache, they were plenty in Whitewater Draw.
I always enjoy going to Tin Cup, Colorado and that always makes a nice mini-vacation but September is getting a little late in the Season for visiting Tin Cup. The weather might be okay but since it's a bit over 10,000 feet, it can also be very cold and snowy in September.
So as usual I will have to see how it goes and maybe even come up with a different place,Even though Alamosa and Tin Cup are a couple of my favorite places to be.
