Eyes over ears.

Only four or five days until the kids are back in school. And since the grandkids will be going to two separate schools without buses to take them there, it will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

What it means to me is I'll have a lot more free time to relax and do nothing. After years of practicing and honing my relaxation skills, I feel I have reached something akin to being a head honcho of happiness and the Grand Poobah of peace and quiet.

I had an appointment with my audiologist to get my hearing aids next week, but I accidentally ended up with an appointment to have my eyes checked and the Colorado government paperwork for folks turning 80 to get my driver's license renewed at the same time.... Soooo, to my way of thinking, getting my driver's license renewed took precedence over being able to hear better, so I got a new appointment for my ears in the middle of October because I felt being able to see and having a driver's license took precedence over being able to hear... eyes over ears, I always say.

Most people spend the weekend near the 11-mile reservoir in RVs, but some folks with money tend to prefer cutesy little cabins.
