Something to think about.
I drove to the VA clinic this morning and had some blood drawn to be tested to see what's going on inside of me. I feel perfectly fine. But you never know what a doctor might find when they get their hands on your blood.
And speaking of blood, when I was in the Air Force, stationed at Charleston Air Force Base around 1966, the Red Cross would come about once a month and start begging for blood donations. Vietnam was going hot and heavy about then, and I guess they needed lots of blood. I always gave a pint, and the Red Cross promised that once my donations reached a gallon, I could get free Red Cross blood transfusions if I ever needed it. But I didn't give blood for that reason. I gave blood because it got me off work for the day. But I shipped out to Yokota Air Force Base, Japan, before I ever got to a gallon, and in Japan, the blood donation deal never came up. We worked so hard at Yokota we could have donated a kidney and still never got a day off.
Larry's comment this morning about my Zoom call doctor's appointment on the 5th of November made me wonder if it mattered where I was zooming from. In my mind. The only reason I have this doctor's appointment is to get her to renew my blood thinner prescription, so why do I need to be in Colorado for her to do that? What if I was sitting next to a lake in New Mexico? Under a deep blue Sky, the temperature is 75°, and there's nary a snowflake in sight. Is that against the zooming laws? I’ve never zoomed, so I don't know, but it is something to think about.
