When you're old, you're cold.
It's been pretty chilly in the Denver area, dropping to near freezing on some nights. But that's okay. Winter's coming up so I need to acclimatize to the cold, and that’s what Fall is for: getting us all used to the colder weather ahead.
I'm finding it harder to acclimatize to colder weather now. Partially because I'm getting old, and when you're old, you're cold. And because I'm taking a blood thinner, which seems to make it harder for me to stay warm.
I can't imagine what life would be like if I had to stay in the Denver area all winter. I obviously couldn't sleep with the heat off like I normally do because I would be an icicle by morning. So, if nothing else, it would be a lot more expensive way to live since I would have to keep the heat on all the time. And of course I'm not the only one with that problem, which explains why it's so crowded in southern Arizona, southern Texas, and southern Florida during the winter..... we geezers have trouble dealing with cold weather.
I'm just hoping. Arizona won't be as chilly and cloudy as it was last winter because last winter was no fun for a boondocker like me. But I have almost twice the battery power and almost twice the solar panels as last winter. I'm hoping that even if the weather isn't all that great, I can still live a normal life.
