To go, or not to go, that is the question.

I was considering going to Chatfield State Park today, but some other things came up that I needed to do, and then laziness took over the rest of the day. I can't go tomorrow since the grandkids are coming back from Florida, and I don't feel like dealing with the crowds at the park on Saturday or Sunday. Since I haven't decided when I would like to go out to Pete's, I'm overwhelmed by decisions about what to do and where to go. And when that happens, I find that the best thing I can do is sit down and relax while watching cat videos on YouTube.

I'm thinking about going up to Pete's on Sunday morning, which would give me an extra day of cloudy weather, which to me means better picture-taking weather. There will be a lot of traffic on Sunday, but it will all be headed down the mountains while I head up. But many of the roads I will be on are two-lane blacktops, which can be a problem even when I'm going in the opposite direction of the traffic. Any accident can easily block both lanes, and there will always be folks with no patience who can't resist passing on a twisty mountain road. I've always found that folks going to the mountains on the weekend are in a better mood and have more patience than when they're coming down heading home on a Sunday afternoon.
