A mini-vacation ?
I woke up this morning with some allergy problems, sneezing, and a runny nose, which happens to me every once in a while, especially in the spring, and especially when certain trees and plants are putting out their pollen. It will usually go away on its own, but after an entire box of tissues, my weekend is not off to a good start.
Of course, I didn't have anything planned for the weekend anyway, since I'm still torn between going out to Pete's this weekend and waiting until the weekend is over, and the traffic situation becomes more manageable.
The only reason I was even considering going up to Pete's during a weekend and dealing with the normal weekend traffic is that Saturday and Sunday are supposed to be very cloudy, which might give me some nice sunsets. But I've been unable to make up my mind if dealing with traffic problems was worth the somewhat remote chance of having a nice sunset.
My next chance of cloudy weather will be next Thursday, with about five days of partly cloudy weather predicted, which means I could drive up to Pete's on Thursday when the traffic won't be too bad, and come back after next weekend.... Making it like a mini-vacation. After that, the summer tourist season will kick in, and the main highways into the mountains will be fairly busy every day.
