Back at Pete's. ~ 2 comments.

There's something about being at Pete's that relaxes me as soon as I get here. Even when I was younger and came here to walk around on these hills and drag myself up the mountains, I still felt relaxed as soon as I drove on the property, so it must have nothing to do with how much physical activity is involved; it's got more to do with the wild nature of the place, and knowing that I share it not with people, cars, and houses, but with Bears, Mountain Lions, Deer and Elk, and happily share it with them knowing they were here first and will be here long after I'm gone.

I had to turn on the heater this morning since it was about 50° inside the camper. I also put my portable solar panels out in the yard, not that I needed to, because the weather is sunny, and not only is it sunny, but the sun is close to being directly overhead, so there's nothing on the roof casting shadows on my solar panels, which means I should be getting the full 500 watts of power they're designed to put out. I just wanted to see if they would provide enough power to run my 18-inch computer all day. And I'll report on the success or failure of that tomorrow
