Running out of ideas. ~ 6 comments.
The 10-day weather forecast is predicting nothing but hotness until next Monday, then it looks like four days of rainy weather with highs in the mid-80s. That actually sounds pretty good to me, considering how hot and dry it's been.
I've still got a hot mess going on in the camper, tools and batteries scattered across the floor, and almost everything out of place, and I'm not seeing how that's going to change until I get my electric problems figured out. Once I disconnected all the wires from the battery bank, I was able to test each battery individually, and, amazingly enough, I couldn't find anything wrong with them.
They all charged up and settled down to 13.5 V and maintained that voltage for 24 hours. I tested each battery with my internal resistance tester, and all the batteries were exactly where they should be. The only thing I haven't done is test them under load, but I've never had a load on them with the new inverter because the inverter has never read over 10 or 11 Volts from the batteries, even though the batteries are showing 13.5 V.
So I've got two inverters showing the exact same problem, which is low batteries, and four batteries testing and maintaining 13.5 V, so the only thing different now is the wiring, and the batteries are only 2 feet away from the inverter, and my wires are actually bigger than they need to be.... So I'm running out of ideas.
