Back in "Q".

I made one of my usual spur-of-the-moment decisions when I woke up this morning and decided to head back to Quartzsite. There was no real reason to do that except I really needed to take this cardboard solar panel box to the dump, it takes up a lot of space in my teeny tiny home, and I'm still looking for a fan blade for my roof vent fan, and the various flea markets in Quartzsite seem like an obvious way to find it, even though I had no luck last time I looked.

The Big Show starts tomorrow, so needless to say, "Q" is packed with more boondockers than you've ever seen in your life, and yes, even a few other random RVers. But as long as I keep far away from the big tent area, don't try to buy anything to eat, and stay away from gas stations, I'll be fine. I just need a quiet place to stay where I can finish up my mobile solar panel install. And fortunately, Quartzsite is a great place to find a quiet spot to boondock, even when there are half a million RVers in town.

London Bridge in Lake Havasu.

Thanks get pretty crowded this time of year at the bridge. So I try to get there early in the morning.

A flock of kayakers is leisurely paddling down the river. Notice the trees with Fall colors. I've been in the Fall since I left Denver.

More kayakers. If you look carefully, you can see some folks eating breakfast on their balcony. By the way, the London Bridge does not cross the Colorado River. The Colorado is way too wide, and the bridge is way too short for that to work. The waterway that you see the kayakers on, which goes under the London Bridge, is a man-made canal that was dug there just to put the bridge over. If you look carefully at the picture and can see a dark blue horizontal line, that's actually the Colorado River.
