My one track mind strikes again
The 10-day forecast is still showing mid-80s for highs and mid-50s for nighttime lows, so it appears that Fall is still slowly creeping up on the Denver area.
I probably should have gone somewhere in the first week of September, since nothing is going on until a couple of birthdays on the 12th and 13th. Still, my one-track mind has made it impossible to think about anything except my upcoming cataract operation later this month, so even if I went somewhere, I probably wouldn't enjoy it. Having a one-track mind is not a good way to live. Other than that, I can usually accomplish anything I feel like doing if that happens to be the one track my mind is concentrating on; other than that, I can't think of any worthwhile benefits.
My daughter's the exact opposite; she can juggle half a dozen things at once and is so well-organized that she can keep everything moving in the right direction, no matter how many directions there are. It was probably her training as a paralegal that taught her to do that, making sure that every attorney in the firm shows up at the right trial at the right time with all the different papers that each one needs, but the ability to do that is something she was born with, she's an organized person, that gets things done ahead of time, and isn't a procrastinator like me. She can manage the lives of half a dozen busy attorneys and still find time to volunteer at the kids’ school.

Cloudy days are not the norm at Pete’s, so I try to appreciate and enjoy each one that comes around.
