Father’s Day

My Father's Day started with an excellent breakfast from Lucille's Cajun restaurant, which was served at home with my family, where I prefer to have all my meals. I do cook for myself when I'm traveling, which explains why so many of my meals consist of popcorn, which is the only thing I've ever been able to cook and enjoy eating.

I did some work on the Arctic Fox, preparing it for sale, but nothing strenuous. I think the biggest thing I've left to do on the Arctic Fox is some sun damage repair to the awning, which I've been putting off because it involves a lot of time on a ladder, which I prefer not to do. However, it needs to be done.

I used to have no problem playing around on the roof of the Arctic Fox; after all, I had installed six solar panels up there. However, as I've grown older, I am no longer sure about my climbing skills and much prefer to keep both feet on the ground at all times. But sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do, and I gotta repair the awning. If I had a lot of money, I would hire someone to install a new awning and relieve myself of the risky task. But that ship has sailed, and assuming there is no reward without risk, I will find myself in the unenviable position of spending an inordinate amount of time on my 10-foot telescoping ladder.

The good news is, "Lord willing and the creek don't rise," sometime next week I should transition from the "repair" part of the Arctic Fox effort to the far easier and less challenging "cleaning" part of the adventure, which should quickly morph into the advertising part of the Arctic Fox saga. And hopefully, the even quicker paperwork and money counting phase. At least that's the way I envision things going with the Arctic Fox.
