A short post

Sorry, this is such a short blog post, but I spent so much time today working on the Arctic Fox that I completely forgot to write my blog until it was almost 3 o'clock. I don't normally wait that long; I usually finish it by 3 or 4 o'clock. Still, my one-track mind took over today, and I accomplished a lot in getting the Arctic Fox ready for sale. However, it seems like whenever I fix one thing, I find another thing or three that need fixing on the Fox.

Generally, I work on my blog in bits and pieces. I'll write a paragraph, or maybe even a sentence, then I'll go off and do something else for a while. Then I'll write a little more while I'm resting up from whatever I was doing that required some physical effort on my part. This largely explains why my blog posts often appear to have been written by three or four different people.

I want to let everyone know that the area I’m at in Colorado is experiencing fairly frequent 90° weather now, so it requires more effort from me to accomplish anything. Most things get done early in the morning or later in the afternoon, if at all.

Father's Day plans are being made for Sunday, and as I often request, I would like breakfast from a Cajun restaurant called Lucille's. And I say "from" because of my poor hearing; I get no pleasure from visiting restaurants, especially busy ones like Lucille's. Normally, all I can hear is a cacophony of plates and eating utensils clanging against one another, along with the low rumble of around 50 people talking and eating.

To solve that problem, my daughter is thoughtful enough to order breakfast over the phone, pick it up, and bring it to me so I can have a peaceful Father’s Day meal with the family.

As I mentioned earlier, I apologize for forgetting to write my blog today and keeping it brief; hopefully, I can do better tomorrow.

Now and then, to break up the monotony of flower pictures, I will show some leftover pictures from my winter travels, such as these:

Sunrise at Elephant Butte State Park, New Mexico. The Elephant is one of those rare places where I can show up anytime and know I'll find a place to boondock. Quartzite, Arizona, is another such place.

Sandhill Cranes soaring over the Bosque Del Apache at dusk to roost for the night.

A large flock of Snow Geese is preparing to land on one of the lakes at the Bosque Del Apache.
