I need a break

The day of the father is over, and I'm back to being an ordinary old geezer once again. So I went back to doing odds and ends on the Arctic Fox.

Since I put two new propane tanks in the Fox I decided that with minor modifications I could make the hold downs, that prevent the propane tanks from moving around, work with either the small 5 gallon tanks or the large gallon tanks, which would give the person buying the Fox a choice of tanks to use depending on the situation.... I wish I had thought of that when I was living in the Fox.

Tomorrow morning, I have an appointment with my VA doctor. It's just for an annual checkup and to discuss the results of the blood tests I took last week. My doctor will also set up an appointment with an audiologist to check my hearing and possibly determine the best course of action for my cataracts. I'm not sure if the VA does that or if they refer me to a civilian doctor.

July will soon be here, and I'm looking forward to spending some time in the mountains. I don't know where I'll go, but it doesn't matter because it won't be a place where I have to make reservations. As I mentioned previously, July is a challenging time to be in the mountains, as the high country is usually overrun with tourists of all kinds. But I need a break from the hardship and suffering of the life of a retired full-timer, and nothing will renew my faltering spirit like boondocking at 10,000 feet, with some crispy cold nights, and a few coyotes howling in the distance.
