On my way, but I didn't get far. ~ 4 comments
After filling up some jugs of drinking water at the City of Rocks, I headed down the road to catch I-10 West in Deming, New Mexico.
But before I got on I-10, I stopped and topped off my diesel fuel, and then decided to go into the Deming Walmart and pick up a few things. While walking across the Walmart parking lot, I saw the Harbor Freight store across the street, and since it’s a tool store, and I do love tools, I decided I would walk over there and see what they had on sale, since Black Friday sales now extend well past New Year's Day.
There was a lot to see, but not much money to buy, so I moseyed back to the camper. By now, it was getting close to lunchtime so I decided I would go back to Walmart and buy myself a dead chicken for lunch. The chicken was good, and I had enough leftovers for dinner.
After all that, it was getting nigh on to 1 o'clock, which some people refer to as 1300 hrs., so I decided that I would just spend the night in the Walmart parking lot and get on 1-10 west in the morning.
Some folks might feel that only driving 30 miles today is pretty pitiful when you're trying to get somewhere. But I'm not actually trying to get anywhere, I'm just trying to live a stress-free, happy life as a full-timer, and sometimes it makes me happy to only drive 30 miles in a day. Remember, I'm not on vacation, and I have no place I need to be other than Colorado sometime next Spring. So, other than that, I have no plans, no schedules, and the wide-open spaces of the Arizona desert are just down the road.

There are some campsites where it's not wise to park your RV.
One of the small cities of Rocks just outside the big one.
Yet another small City of Rocks. I guess this could be called a village of Rocks.
