A war in Mexico? ~ 2 comments

I had been thinking about heading back towards Phoenix and finding a new boondocking area close to the Ben Avery gun range to stay at, so I didn't have to pay $10 a night at the County boondocking area in Wickenburg. I feel that's a fairly reasonable price to pay, but the only utility they provide is a dumpster for your trash at the boondocking area.... And there's a seven-day stay limit.

But I was looking at the news on the Internet last night, and due to the brand-new "war" between the Mexican government and the drug cartel gangs, I decided to modify my plans. Since the United States was involved in helping the Mexican military with intelligence about the cartel leader and his "army," I figured I would hunker down and stay in Wickenburg to wait and see if there's a fallout from all the Mexican chaos that could affect the United States.

I hope that nothing is going to happen, but Arizona has more than its share of drug cartel members, largely thanks to the open borders the last administration plagued us with, so I feel safer in the Wickenburg area than I would near the big city of Phoenix.

So I moved back to the comfort and freedom of the Arizona trust lands, where I was a week ago. Some of the benefits being it's hard to see, so most folks don't even know it's here, it's only a few miles from town, it's a cowboy town, and cowboys are known to be well armed and very patriotic.

Last night's sunset.

Cattle grazing among the RVs, a sight not often seen in RV parks. But one much appreciated by me.

This morning's sunrise….. A great way to start any day.
