Love your horse day.
The weather is beautiful, with temperatures in the 80s every day for the immediate future. So, in an effort to utilize such great weather and for lack of anything better to do, I figured I would walk up one of the surrounding hills just to get a picture or two.
But for some reason, a dozen or more horse trailers drove by my boondocking spot heading up into the hills, see the picture below, and not wanting to be trampled by the aforementioned horses, I decided to put off my hill climbing until the horses left the area.
Now it's not at all that odd for two or three horse trailers a day to roll by because this area I'm camped in is kind of a staging area for well-used trails for off-road travel, including the four-legged kind, but I've never seen this many horse trailers come by at one time before.
I haven't heard anything about the war that's going on in Mexico spreading to this country. However, it's still early, and the news says there are a lot of American and Canadian tourists still stranded in Mexico, and the news media are talking about the cartels using American tourists as hostages, so it's not over yet.

Some sunrises scream, "LOOK AT ME." Other times, the sunrise quietly whispers, "Welcome to a wonderful new day." This morning, the sunrise whispered..... And I listened.
A long line of horse trailers slowly plodded up the hill, for reasons unknown. Maybe it was a special "love your horse day," and the horses got to sit on their owners' backs while bouncing up and down and hitting their owners with various sticks and whips.
I'll bet everyone driving those trucks pulling trailers full of horses will tell you they're "horse lovers."..... but I believe you should leave horses alone and let them run free out on the plains and in the forests wherever nature put them...... NOW, who's the horse lover?
Lunch break.
