Pete’s day two

Yesterday, when I arrived, my son and a couple of his friends were already here, having a good time shooting clays with a shotgun and targets with various pistols and rifles. I know there are a lot of folks that don't like the idea of all that, but I grew up at a time when guns were perfectly normal, owned by almost everyone and just about every kid was taught to shoot safely by their dad, or the Boy Scouts, so I enjoy seeing people shooting safely and enjoying the gun hobby.

They stayed for 3 to 4 hours before packing up and heading back to Woodland Park, where I used to live and my youngest son still does.

After they left, I settled in, turning my camper back into a teeny tiny home, and putting things back in their place after the horrendously bumpy road vibrated everything off the shelves, and unrolled about 10 feet of paper towels onto the floor that I had to reroll.

The Wilkerson pass route worked out a lot better, and even though it was dirt, it wasn't in very bad shape. But I still had to drive about 3 miles of the horrendously bad dirt road, which vibrates the camper to pieces. But I know another dirt road that's a shortcut to my property, and I'll try leaving on that road to see what kind of shape it's in.

Both my sons have always enjoyed shooting, probably because of my gun hobbies, and having a great place to shoot.
