My one-track mind….. I think I can, I think I can.

I just puttered around doing some cleaning inside the camper on this peaceful Sunday. I'm just gently trying to guide my one-track mind onto a traveling track, and getting used to pulling up stakes and moving fairly often.

Right now, I'm in a sedentary mindset, which makes me lazy and unmotivated to do much of anything. But if I can get back into a traveling state of mind and start hearing that almost silent whisper the open road makes when it's calling me, I can start getting ready for my winter travels.

I'm looking forward to visiting Las Vegas, New Mexico, and Storrie Lake State Park to talk to the Ranger about their newly increased fee system. They've also made changes in the area of the park where I can stay. When I was there last Spring before the changes went into effect, I could stay at places with a shelter and a picnic table under it, which was still free boondocking. But from what I understand, if there are any improvements to the camping spot, like a shelter or a table, you can no longer boondock there. And if that's the case, the only place left for me to boondock would be around the lake somewhere, which is okay, but I need to talk to a Ranger to find out where I can boondock without being asked to move nowadays..... But I reckon it doesn't much matter anymore since I won't be buying another pass to New Mexico state parks; this will be the last time I stay there.

I guess that last sentence is one you'll be hearing a lot from me, since my old Park pass expires at the end of November, all the state parks I stay at in New Mexico will be the last time I ever stay there.
