July is not working out the way I had hoped

I spent some time cleaning the Arctic Fox, and almost no time fixing anything, which tells me I must be nearing the end of the repair phase, and hopefully, cleaning will be the only thing I have left to do.

Much of that was made possible today by the comfortable temperature for most of the day. I feel a lot more energetic when the temperature is 75 than when it's 100, so I spend more time working than relaxing and recuperating from the work I just did.

I'm optimistic that I can complete all my projects by the end of the week. Then I can spend some time getting the Lance ready to take a leisurely trip up to Cripple Creek on the first or second of July and spend a few days in Cripple Creek seeing the sights, taking some pictures, cutting the grass on my property, and writing up an advertisement for the sale of the Arctic Fox.

I was enthusiastic about having no medical appointments during July and completing everything I needed to do so I could spend a lot of time running around and enjoying being in the High Country, but that's not going to happen. I will likely spend July dealing with prospective buyers and hoping that the Fox sells quickly.

Here’s one of the many reasons I don’t like to boondock on the beach at Elephant Butte State Park. Look at the fifth wheel on the left; the beach is so sloped that he has to dig deep holes to put his uphill tires in, and he still had to raise the tires on the low side of the beach to get anywhere near level. That’s a lot more work than I want to get involved in.

And look at all the activity going on at the beach, RVs coming and going, boats being launched, it’s a madhouse down there, and I’m much happier overlooking the beach and away from the crowds.
