How old is the Arctic Fox?
Today, the hundred-degree heat and dry weather finally abated with temperatures in the mid-70s and a few scattered showers, with more of the same predicted for tomorrow. And due to the better weather, I was able to accomplish a few things on the Arctic Fox that put me well on the way to getting the Fox in salable condition, hopefully by the end of the week.
As I clean the Arctic Fox occasionally, I encounter a problem that needs fixing, which slows down my cleaning process. However, the Arctic Fox was born in 2013, which makes her 12 years old, equivalent to 55 in normal trailer years, 65 in full-timer trailer years, or 75 in boondocker trailer years. So, as you can see, the Arctic Fox has had a tough life and shows it. I think it was KennyD who called my cleaning operation putting lipstick on a pig. But in my case, that's too optimistic because my pig lost her lips many years ago.
Which is not to say that the Fox can't speak, Fox often told me, "My tires hurt, please get off of this bumpy dirt road". Or "please stop trying to back up, every time I get all jackknifed like that, it hurts my axles. And "why did you mess with my wires? Every time you turn on the porch light, my brake lights come on?''
Needless to say, I don't have to listen to complaining trailers that criticize my backing abilities, and especially my skill at rewiring a brand-new trailer. And so what if I turn on the stove and the toilet flushes? That's very handy when I'm in the kitchen and forget to flush. However, I must admit that the toilet seat sometimes gets too hot when I turn on my stove.

Leftover picture of the Milky Way I took at 3 a.m. I still can’t believe I got up that early to take these pictures.
One of the great things about Elephant Butte State Park is that you can boondock right on the beach and launch your boat right from your boondocking spot.
