Be careful what you wish for.

There are still a lot of folks heading for Quartzsite today, and I'm assuming that will increase drastically when the New Year's holiday is over, and folks will start coming here for the Big Show, starting on the 17th.

Oh, how I long for the days of clear blue skies as I had a couple of weeks ago. I remember complaining about those clear blue skies at the time since they interfered with my picturesque sunrises and sunsets. Now, all I get on the 10-day forecast is partly cloudy, mostly cloudy, afternoon showers, things like that. It just goes to show you, be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it.

But the sad thing is, I'm usually not getting nice sunrises and sunsets as you would expect. Either the clouds are too thick on the horizon, blocking the pretty sunrises and sunsets, or sunrises and sunsets are clear blue skies, but it's so early or late in the day that I'm producing very little power from my solar panels. I can't seem to win for losing. But such is life for a hard-core boondocker, as the "Rolling Stones" once said "You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes you might find, you get what you need." And what I need right now are solar panels.
