Different day, same problem. ~ 2 comments.

It's still cloudy today, so I'm not getting much charging from my solar panels; therefore, there won't be any pictures again. I said adiós to Yuma this morning and made my way up the road to Quartzsite. I filled up with diesel when I got here, refilled a propane tank, and drove by all three solar stores. It looks like all three are going to be closed until after New Year's. That was rather heartbreaking, since I was hoping somebody would be open, so I could get some solar panels, but it looks like I'm screwed until January 5. So my only hope is that the sun will come out and stay out long enough to charge up my batteries, and I can start living a normal life again with the solar panels that I've got.

But like everything else in life, there's a lesson to be learned from this, and sometimes life's lessons are more powerful and memorable if they disrupt your normal life long enough to make a lasting impression. And I can assure everyone that my current situation has made a lasting impression on me, and I will no longer assume that filling up a roof with solar panels automatically means that's enough.

But I'm hanging in there and learning how to live with very little electricity and at the same time still finding happiness and joy in my life, while keeping in mind the famous sayings..... Carpe diem, and that which does not kill us makes us stronger.
