2027 truck registration is on the way.
I filled out some Internet paperwork to get my 2027 registration for the truck, so it should be here in a couple of weeks. I also sprung for the $27-a-year Colorado parks pass that you can get when you renew your registration. I don't visit Colorado parks very often, because the camping fees are outrageously expensive. But since Chatfield Reservoir State Park is so close by, I do go there every once in a while just to look around, so I guess the $27 a year's worth it.
It's been pretty hot lately, but it's still only in the 90s. I think later this week, we're supposed to hit some hundreds, which sounds like a good time to get out of town and head for the hills, but I have some appointments coming up soon, so I have to stick around the area.
School will start here around mid-August, so that will be a big lifestyle change for the grandkids. It will be the first time the grandkids have gone to separate schools, because my grandson will be heading for a middle school, or junior high school, whatever they call it nowadays. So he will have to make the often difficult transition from being one of the big kids in elementary school to being one of the smallest kids at his new school
