Who would buy anything named Redodo? ~ 2 comments
Today, with no other direction to go and getting way too tired of looking at lithium-iron batteries on the Internet, I ordered a Redodo battery, which should be here sometime next week.... I don't know about y'all, but to me, after looking at dozens of lithium iron batteries on the Internet, I've come to the conclusion that they're all about the same, and they need to hire someone who speaks enough English to name their companies something that doesn't look like red do do.
The good news is, if any good news is to be found, this one battery has more amps in it than three of my BattleBorn batteries, and yet costs less than one BattleBorn battery did 10 years ago. And having one battery instead of four, the wiring will be simplified, which is important since my brain has become much more simplified.
Yes, I'll have 80 amps less in this battery than I had in my 400-amp BattleBorn battery bank, but I think it will be okay, and if it turns out not to be the case, I've got plenty of room in my battery storage compartment to put two more of these without a problem.
I spent some time looking online for ways to dispose of these four BattleBorn batteries. After all, you can't just throw them in the trash masher, since they're a fire hazard no matter where you put them, and several places I looked at wanted me to pay someone to take them. I think I found a place that will pick them up for free, but I'll have to see it to believe it. If nothing else, I guess I could take them out to Pete's and bury them, but I really don't feel like digging a hole that deep…And when someone my age is spotted digging a deep hole, folks may come to the wrong conclusion.

A beautiful rose is growing in the yard.
Then along comes a Japanese beetle or two.
And before the day is done.... Your beautiful Rose looks like this.
