Time means almost nothing to me.

I don't pay much attention to clocks in my everyday life. What time it is means so little to me, especially during wintertime in Arizona. I have been known to totally forget about the time change. Especially in Arizona, since I never know what time it is there, And live a perfectly normal life for months before I Finally figure out I'm an hour out of whack.

But not everyone feels that way. I meet old retired folks who just can't get over not having a job to go to every day, but they still feel the need to know exactly what time it is.For what reason? I don't know, and if you talk to them for a while, you will find out they don't know either

So even though the time is something retired people usually don't care much about There is something that retired folks, especially full-timers, care a whole lot about, and that's the weather. When I get up in the morning, I turn on my computer, and the first thing I look at is the weather. What time it happens to be affects my life very little. But what the weather is affects my life a lot.

So even though the weather affects the full-timer a lot,It really, really affects the boondockers like me. Fact is : my whole life revolves around the weather. Is it too hot? Is it too cold? Is it going to rain? Is it going to be cloudy? Is it going to be windy? How windy? Those things affect my life every day. And on travel days, those things decide whether I'm going somewhere or not.

I seldom wear a watch. Because what time it is seldom affects anything I do during the day. But I always look at the weather. Because it has everything to do with my day.

Only a bird expert, such as I, can recognize this very rare Blue-bellied Arizona cactus hopper. Experts like me can identify these cactus hoppers quite easily by their specialized call as they hop from cactus to cactus, and it sounds like… Ouch! ouch !! OUCH!!!
