Where did they go?
Well, knock me down and call me Shirley. I checked my blog a few days ago and found the pictures I had put on it were gone. I know I put them there, but they were just gone. I guess it could've been picture thieves, or I was hallucinating when I thought I put them there, or maybe the Canon camera company made Squarespace take down my pictures because it felt my pictures insulted their camera company.
This is my 7th day of living with an expired driver's license, and I'm not finding it any fun. I don't drive around very much here anyway, so it's not as bad as if my license expired when I'm running around in Arizona; that would be a disaster. But I can't do anything until September 25th, when hopefully the DMV will breathe new life into my old driver's license.
I've been doing a few odd jobs on the camper, trying to get it ready for my winter travels. I ordered a gadget from Amazon that purportedly lets me plug my computer into a cigarette lighter-type plug, which should allow me to run my 13-inch Asus computer off battery power instead of the inverter, which takes 12-volt battery power and turns it into home-type 120 AC power, so the laptop computer can change the AC power back into DC power, which is what the computer actually runs on. This will save me many amps of wasted power every day and, hopefully, make my winter boondocking a lot less sketchy than last winter.

Me at a boondocking spot somewhere in Wyoming. I'm going to visit my oldest son, who was working at a ranch up in Montana. I got to park right next to the bunkhouse where some of the cowboys lived. It was a pretty big ranch, 50,000-something acres, and about 10,000 head of cattle. I got to spend a lot of time around the cowboys, and they all pretty much described the job the same way.…. A tough life sitting in the saddle when it's 40 below zero with long hours and low pay,…. but they wouldn't want to do anything else.
