The VA did a great job.

With only about a week left before I head south, I can look at the 10-day weather forecast for here and New Mexico and get a fairly good idea of what it’ll be like, and it doesn't look very good. But then neither does the entire winter for New Mexico and Arizona. But I have no place else to go, so I guess I might as well learn to live with it.

I've been very fortunate to have such good weather on my travels for the last 11 or 12 years. Last year, when I ran into so much cloudy weather early in the winter, it was the only winter I've had trouble keeping my batteries charged, and only for the first half of the winter. And as bad as it was, I still managed to survive.

Thanks to Larry's comment the other day.Which mentioned a VA website that helped people prepare for joining a VA telehealth visit. I was fully prepared when the VA IT person called to help me prepare for my VA telehealth video session with my VA doctor on the 5th. All I had to do was go to the Pretend telehealth website to practice. My IT guide made sure my lighting was correct and that I was sitting in the right place in front of the computer. I spent some time facing slightly left or right to figure out which side looked best, but eventually decided I no longer had a good side…. I had a leathery, wrinkled, scraggly beard side, and the other side was worse. The VA practice website recognized that I was using a headset instead of my computer audio and video, so it automatically turned everything on, so I was talking to and viewing the IT guy over the internet instead of on the phone.

All in all, I would say the VA did a great job making a video conference as easy peasy and stress-free as possible for someone like me, who is far from being a computer expert.

If I had a vote, I would vote for this being the prettiest Fall tree in the neighborhood.

This neighborhood I live in borders the Front Range.

I took this picture from my boondocking spot near Flagstaff, Arizona.
