More memories.
Again today, not much to say, so I'm putting some old pictures on display. No rhyme or reason, just tis the season to think of the past and wish it would last. But the future awaits. And despite what I've said, I'm still looking forward to what lies ahead. Be it good or be it bad, life's an adventure, both happy and sad. So I'll hit the road smiling because every day, a new view awaits me wherever I stay.

Yes, I even dragged the Arctic fox out to Pete's. I didn't do it much because it was hard on the trailer. But when I did, I lived in luxury.
My view of Pikes Peak in the wintertime from the back deck of my house. I loved that house. I’ve owned a lot of houses and a lot of property, but that house and Pete's property are the only ones I ever loved. But as usual, life changes, and the house and the cold, snowy winters no longer worked for my life.
A gift shop on Padre Island, Texas. When I was living in Miami as a teenager, I wanted to be a pirate. I loved the ocean, and I read all the books on South Florida pirates and their buried treasure. But as soon as I figured out I got seasick if the waters were rough, that pretty much killed the life of a pirate for me…. But other than that, I would have made a good one.
Harley-Davidson Knucklehead engines were made in the 1930s and 1940s. They became some of the first choppers. I took this picture in Laughlin, Nevada, at a car museum.
Surfer on Padre Island, Texas. It was a chilly, cloudy morning, and I walked out on the fishing pier and took this picture so it would look like I was in the water with them- fat chance of that happening.
I took this picture on Padre Island of a Texas mockingbird. Regular mockingbirds only copy the sounds that other birds make, but a Texas mockingbird copies how they look.
Here are a few sunset pictures. I took this one in Quartzite Arizona.
Bob Hall Fishing Pier, Padre Island, Texas. I was camped about 75 feet from this pier, so I used to walk down to the beach every morning and watch the sun come up. Sometimes there were four or five people there, often taking pictures; other times, there was no one there but me…. Beaches aren't that popular in the winter.
Bob Hall Fishing Pier, Padre Island, Texas, sunrise.
A fast-moving freight train heading in my direction. I was in no danger because I took this photo with a telephoto lens; the train's headlight looks a lot closer than it actually was.
