Everything is going as planned.
Still cloudy, still raining, still chilly; everything is going as planned.
Of course, that plan also had me stuck in the camper, spending hours on the computer wasting time, but at my age I can't go walking up these mountains, even if I wanted to, so I'm getting used to sitting around wasting time.
I don't mind it being cloudy, because I can still go for a walk or take pictures; in fact, that's a great time to take pictures. But this intermittent sprinkle of rain spoils everything; it sprinkles for 10 minutes, then it stops, and half an hour later it starts again, and it does this all day and, as far as I can tell, all night. And it doesn't pour down rain like a firehose, as it does in Miami; it just sprinkles enough to make you not want to get out in it.
One thing I'm doing to occupy my time is that, since I've run so many wires lately, I've got wires lying everywhere, to the point that I could trip over them, so I'm rerouting everything to get the wires out of the way. Some of the problem is that a few of my electric gadgets have to run on both AC and DC, because when I'm plugged in at my daughter's house during the summer, I run everything off their AC power so I don't have to charge the batteries all the time. So that ends up being a whole lot of wires running hither and yon.

Some of the trees are bare. Some of the trees are perfect. And some of the trees are just starting to change.
You may be wondering why I put out my solar panels in the yard when it's this cloudy? Partly because I'm testing them, and partly because, even when it’s totally cloudy, solar panels will still get some charging, maybe not much, depending on how thick the clouds are. But it is something.
When I woke up this morning and poked my nose outside the door, the first thing I saw was snow in the high country. It wasn't much, but it was the first snow I've seen in a long time. And it's better to look at it from down here than to deal with it up there.
