Finally, pictures of the Petrified Forest.

I spent last night in the Walmart parking lot in Grants, New Mexico. And I'm now in the Walmart parking lot in Las Vegas, New Mexico. Stopping in Las Vegas, New Mexico, is a hard habit for me to break, since. I've been doing it even before I became a full-timer.

Storrie Lake State Park, here in Las Vegas, New Mexico, is where I always stopped to unwind from my summer travels and get used to being on my own again. And on the way back, heading for Colorado in the Spring, I would stay at Storrie Lake State Park for a few days to get used to what I need to do in Denver and be around my family again. For six months, I've hardly been around anyone, so being around people again takes some getting used to.

There's a lot of boondocking in the national forests in this general area that I could use, but no place has the convenience of Storrie Lake State Park, where it's only a couple of miles to gas stations, restaurants, and Walmart.
