Winds O Plenty

Another windy day today, but today it was pretty comfortable until lunchtime, then the wind started making itself known. The weather forecast says the wind is 20 mph, which is pretty annoying by itself. The problem is, every 10 or 15 minutes, along comes a 40-mph gust that almost blows old geezers like me over. But despite that, the weather is sunny and in the high 70s today, with mid-40s tonight, and as usual, humidity in the teens.

Also, as usual, my cell phone service is crawling along as slowly as possible while still calling it "service". And since my cell phone service is tied to my Verizon hotspot, that's also very slow for most of the day.

I brought several guns with me to do a little shooting, but I haven't pulled the trigger on anything yet. In the past, when I still had guns, as a hobby, I shot thousands of rounds a year, and to save money, back in the day, when I had very little of it, I had to reload ammunition just to afford to be able to shoot as much as I wanted. And I didn't realize it at the time, but reloading ammunition became an important hobby for me in its own right.

I not only reloaded ammunition for about 10 different calibers, but I also would scrounge lead, melt it down, and make my own bullets. So when I was emptying out my garage to sell my house and live in my RV, I had to sell hundreds of pounds of lead, with absolutely no use for it in my current lifestyle... Fortunately, Colorado has more reloaders "and freeloaders" in it than you might think, so I was able to sell all of my reloading equipment for top dollar, often more than I paid for it when it was new.

So the point of all that is, since I don't reload anymore, shooting interests me a lot less than it used to, so selling my guns is a lot less painful than I thought it would be.
