Still fooling around with the computer.
Not much going on today except spending more time trying to get my new computer up to speed. I think getting "Up to speed". was probably the wrong term, since the new computer is so quick and fast that there's worlds of difference between it and my once most powerful Laptop computer.
I didn't realize how slow my old computer had gotten until I turned on the new one. I guess computers slow down over time, and we never really notice it. Until it gets to the point where we can make a cup of coffee waiting for things to happen. But this takes such a long time that we don't realize how bad it's gotten. But it's slowly coming together and getting more normal feeling to me. I'm still trying to get used to this new Speech-to-Text software called Wispr Flow. There are some good things about it, but the way to use it is a little bit different than I'm used to. And you know how we old geezers don't like change.
And speaking of change, just as I was starting to get my one-track mind on a different track, and start getting the camper ready to travel, I ended up buying this new computer which, totally and completely, put me on the track of getting the computer ready to go and forgetting about everything else.I wish I could be a multitasker and work on the camper as well as the computer. But that's not me. And this late in life, probably never will be. I think the only good thing about my one-track mind is once I get on the right track, I can accomplish some difficult things, because I will follow anything right to the end no matter how problematic it is.
