I'm in shock !!! ~ 2 comments.

It looks like I've got a couple more days with highs in the low 60s, and then my 10-day forecast is showing nothing but the low 80s for highs and mid-50s for lows... And that will definitely be a nice change of pace.

The weather took a change for the better, so I moseyed on up the road towards Phoenix after getting some propane and diesel fuel before I left Congress.

But I was shocked when I arrived at the Arizona trust lands, near Ben Avery Gun Range, where there are usually a couple of hundred RVs on both sides of the road, I found it completely empty. I pulled into a truck stop right in the middle of the Arizona trust lands in that area, inquired what was going on, and was told that the cops had run everybody off and put up signs saying "no motor vehicles allowed". And since I don't know any other place to stay for free in that part of Phoenix, I bought a few groceries, then turned around and drove the 40 miles back to Wickenburg to rethink my situation and reconsider my future plans.

I'm still kind of in shock at the moment, but I will write more about what's going on in tomorrow's blog post.

I'm back in Wickenburg, but I stopped at a different boondocking area. This place is run by the county, and it costs $10/night. But I wanted something different, and I don't mind paying a few bucks if it's reasonable.

This is the County Rodeo Arena, right across the street from my boondocking spot.

One of the walking paths that meanders through the desert, up the hills, and through the cactus.
