The weather is perfect.

These fall temperatures are just perfect for me. Sixties in the daytime. Forties at night. It couldn't be better.

I took a walk around the neighborhood this morning, which made me feel I should accomplish something useful. So I cleaned all the grease off the stove. Swept the floor. And checked into getting some new headlights for the truck. I know that doesn't sound like much, and it's not, but it's more than I was accomplishing before. And if I can keep up, just taking baby steps. In no time at all, I'll have the camper ready to travel by January.

The neighborhood is looking very Fall-ish, with many trees already half-empty of leaves. Anyone who's going to put up Halloween decorations has already done it. And with the weather just perfect. It couldn't be a better time to walk around the neighborhood.

I can feel my one-track mind slowly drifting. towards travel and away from doctors and their endless appointments. And that's a good thing this late in the Fall. Because of the doctor's appointments, this hasn't been a normal Fall for me. I haven't been able to take any mini-vacations, and even when I had the time, I just wasn't in the mood. So, I'm looking forward to heading south into New Mexico, where Fall is just starting. And as I travel around, I'll get to experience Fall all over again....Just thinking and writing about it is putting me in a travel mood.
