What to do? What to do?

Last night there were three of us "primitive campers" here at the lake, but this morning there are only two. If there's any chance of rain, I would move farther back from the lake, as it gets very slippery the closer you get to the water's edge. However, even though there's cloudy weather in the forecast, it indicates no chance of rain.

I still haven't given any thought to when I will leave Storrie Lake and head South, but probably another day or two. When I get this close to Bosque Del Apache, I become very anxious to arrive and see the cranes again. It's probably even worse this year because I didn't get to see the cranes on a mini-vacation to Alamosa, Colorado. Now, I'm even more excited to see them again.

And speaking of heading down to the Bosque Del Apache, that made me wonder what I will do when I return to southern Arizona in the springtime, and I will no longer go through southern New Mexico since my state park pass will have expired. The only reason I return to New Mexico is to take advantage of my free boondocking, but since that will no longer be the case, I suppose I will head up to Northern Arizona and turn right on Interstate 40 to Albuquerque, where I will catch I-25 North, back to Colorado. However, that still leaves a lot of New Mexico that I need to go through to get back to Colorado, with no free boondocking available.

That does sound like a problem I'll have to resolve one way or another, but I'll figure something out, I always do. Remember, I've said before that a boondocker has to live by their wits, and I've only got half the wits of normal people, so that makes these problems twice as hard.

Will the Bosque del Apache be a disappointment?
