Finally, a chance to test my solar panels.
It looks like my days of blue skies are just about over. Starting tomorrow, there's going to be some cloudy days in my life, and several days in the next 10 days when there will be a fairly good chance of rain. The temperatures are still expected to be in the 60s and 70s, but it appears that by Tuesday afternoon, I’ll be able to deploy my new solar panels in the yard and assess their performance.
From the very brief times that I've used them in Quartzsite it appears that my new 300 watt portable solar panels put out almost twice as many amps as the 500 watt solar panels mounted on the roof of the camper, simply because the 300 watt solar panels can be pointed in the right direction to gather the most sunlight, and unlike the roof mounted solar panels, they're not shaded by the vent fans, refrigerator vent, and air conditioner.
So what I'm going to try to do is, when the clouds are rolling in on Tuesday and continuing for the next three days, I want to continue living, just like I've been living the last few weeks, using the normal amount of electricity I use every day, and see if the portable solar panels will let me continue living like that, or will I have to modify my daily electrical use, and if so, how much.

This dirt road goes for miles out into the desert.
Climbing up the hill, trying to avoid everything with stickers on it.
My little camper looks even smaller than it actually is in the vastness of the desert. Thanks to Hollywood movies, I used to think the desert was endless sand with a few saguaro cacti scattered here and there. But actually, it's full of vegetation. It's a different vegetation, but there's a lot of it.
