Badly in need of change
Got a second new regulator for the Arctic Fox propane system, put it together, and everything is working fine now, so I can scratch propane system off my list of things to do. I'm nearing the bottom of my to-do list, with the biggest item being minor repairs on the awning.
I'm giving serious consideration to visiting Cripple Creek for the Fourth of July holiday. The main reason folks like me don't go anywhere on holidays is that we have no place to stay, and if there is a place to stay, it’s very expensive, and reservations probably need to be made the year before. But since I own property in Cripple
Creek, I always have a place I can stay, even during a busy holiday like the Fourth of July.
I have to consider WHEN I should go to avoid the holiday traffic, and WHEN I should leave to avoid everyone else in the world that's leaving for home. But knowing things like that are a part of my everyday boondocking life, so I should be able to figure it out.
One of the reasons I'm leaning towards Cripple Creek is that they have some festivities going on during the holidays, such as a family-oriented Street Fair, a Western art show, and a professionally run two-night fireworks display. And since the casinos have plenty of money to pay for things like that, I'm assuming the fireworks might be pretty spectacular.
All that adds up to being very photogenic, and even though I would normally avoid holidays and crowds like that, this looks like an opportunity to take pictures of something besides flowers, and I'm badly in need of a change.
