September is a tough month

A peaceful Sunday today, with everyone unwinding from the various birthday festivities that started on Friday with my birthday and lasted until this morning, when the last of my grandson’s friends who spent the night went home. Most of that didn't affect me very much, since I could go outside to the camper at any time and enjoy the peace and quiet of my teeny tiny home.

The next thing I have to look forward to is my first cataract operation on September 18th. My wife's birthday is on the same day, so I'm not sure how all that will work out. My daughter is going to drive me to the VA hospital on that day since I won't be able to drive back home again after the operation. Then there should be two weeks of dealing with eyedrops and healing before my other eye gets operated on later in September.

Since I'm essentially a loner and fairly healthy, I’m not accustomed to having numerous doctor appointments, so all the things going on in my life have made September a challenging month for me. I believe I've had more doctor appointments in the last year than in my entire life. I think some of that is due to my age, but it seems like the more I go to doctors, the more things they find that requires doctoring.

I read on the Internet that due to its small wings and large body, it's impossible for a bumblebee to fly. It's a good thing bumblebees don't have the Internet.
