I need more power.

A quiet, peaceful day today. I walked downtown once, but other than that, I didn't do anything today except relax.

I was going to stay in Tombstone a few days longer than this, but I changed my mind, and I'll be hitting the road tomorrow, probably to Ajo, Arizona, but one never knows. I'm getting low on supplies and need to get to a Walmart. There's one in Benson, Arizona, about 30 miles from here, so I'll probably stop there in the morning and stock up on things since that's the last time I'll be around a Walmart for a while.

I had a good time watching the parade last night. It lasted for an hour and a half, so they had lots of floats to keep folks occupied, and there were a lot of people there watching the parade go by.

I've been giving some thought to getting a couple more solar panels. Looking back at the Arctic Fox, it had 840 watts of solar panels on the roof, and the Lance at the moment has 400 watts of solar panels on the roof, obviously less than half as much. And yet, I'm still using as much electricity in the camper as I always did in the Arctic Fox, so I'm having to skimp on my electricity and use as little as possible. And that's okay, except I have no extra power in case it rains for a day or two….. Thank goodness I'm in the desert. Where raining for days is very rare.

Now the problem is, there’s no more room on the roof of the Lance for any more solar panels. So I would have to do what a lot of people do, which is prop any new solar panels up on the ground, or get up on the roof of the lance and adjust. all of my solar panels so they're always facing the sun whenever I set up camp. Neither of those things has ever felt like an ideal situation to me, which is why my solar panels lie flat on the roof of the camper. But I need more electricity, and I'm totally against generators, so my options are limited.

There are some solar specialty stores in Quartzsite. So I think I will wait till I get there and see if I can find a solution.

One of the Town's saloons is decorated for Christmas.

folks are staking out a spot to watch the parade.

The Tombstone Christmas tree is in the middle of the picture. I really don't like taking photos in the dark.

This is where I watched the parade from. There's very little light on Main Street, and what light there is is very dim and yellow. Definitely not good for picture taking.

Some of the two-story buildings have balconies, which provide a good vantage point to watch the parade. …. Kinda reminds me of Mardi Gras in New Orleans….. No, not really.

And, just as I was starting to get cold from standing around, along comes the police, which start every parade, and there were 10 vehicles of local cops and sheriffs. …And they promptly arrested everyone standing on the street for vagrancy.

I'll have more pictures tomorrow of the actual parade of lights.
