Solving a problem
The Arctic Fox hasn't moved yet. The buyer has ordered a fifth-wheel hitch to be installed on the back of his truck, and it will need to be installed before they can come to pick up the Fox, which I assume will be sometime next week. But that's okay, I don't want to go anywhere anyway until I get this annual emissions test for my truck out of the way.
This entire emissions testing issue could be easily resolved in three ways....
Number one… Move to a state that has no emissions testing. That seems rather harsh, because changing your residence requires a lot of paperwork, especially for a full-timer who doesn't actually need a physical place to live.
Number two.… Move to a different county in Colorado. This might possibly work, I don't know anyone who lives in a non-emissions sticker County that I could use as a legal residence. My youngest son does, but he moves too often, and I would have to change my residency every time he moves.
Number three.… Buy a new truck. This would be the greatest solution of all, as new vehicles would not have to undergo emissions testing for 10 years. It would not only solve my emissions testing problem but also address the issue of my truck being old and unreliable. But then again, why should I have a truck more reliable than I am? Right now, it's a toss-up as to which one of us will last the longest, and at the moment I'm betting on the diesel.

Bass Pro Shop goes whole hog for the Fourth of July.
Sunglasses have their own separate area at the Bass Pro Shop….it’s like a store within a store.
Genius-level thinking compared to everyone else.
The main Street of Cripple Creek, Bennett Avenue, is the street where gambling was legalized. Casinos are not legal on the street to the left of Bennett Avenue, which is Carr Street. Everyone knew that, but the Chamonix casino owners were the only people who took advantage of it.
The Chamonix people bought up an entire block of casinos that weren't doing well, then they acquired a block of Carr Street that was dirt cheap because it wasn't gambling property. They built a gigantic hotel on it that towers over the rest of the town, as you can see in this picture.
So, the rest of the town had to use valuable gambling property to put their hotel rooms on, but Chamonix uses every inch of their Bennett Avenue gaming property for gambling and has a giant hotel on dirt-cheap non-gaming property that’s tied to all their gaming properties on Bennett Avenue.
BRILLIANT! That's the difference in Cripple Creek thinking and Las Vegas thinking.
