A nice day.

It was a much nicer day today, temperature-wise, than it has been. It felt so good to be comfortable in the camper with the windows open, the vent fan going, and not sweating like a hog.

Some folks asked, why didn't I sit outside in the shade of the camper? And the answer is around the middle of the day, when it's the hottest, there isn't enough shade to sit in. Putting your awning out is the way people get shade to sit under, but I haven't owned an awning since I sold the Arctic Fox.

But enough of this talk about heat. I'm going to make a concerted effort not to mention the weather unless it's something completely different than heat, and cloudless blue skies..... So it looks like I will have even less to talk about than I do now.

And speaking of nothing to talk about.... I need to get to town early next week and pick up a few groceries and some water. I get tired of eating the same things all the time, and sometimes Safeway has a meatloaf that costs about eight dollars, which I can get about four meals out of. They also have freshly made sushi that's not too expensive, which I like. Those things help break up the monotony of different canned soup flavors.

A decent sunset.

This is a telephoto picture that I took of the perfect saguaro in the middle of the picture. After I took the picture, I could see that there were Ocotillos behind the Saguaro with red blooms on them. Ordinarily, I would walk over there and take pictures of the Ocotillo flowers, but because of the remote possibility of rattlesnakes, I decided not to; I figured that bravery could get me into more trouble than stupidity. And my stupidity is easier for my friends and family to understand.

I don't know what kind of cactus this is, but the spines are two or three inches long, which seems pretty dangerous to me, since if you fell into this bush accidentally, some of these spines are long enough to reach a vital organ.

I no longer have any vital organs, having donated them to science years ago…. I figure the fewer organs you have, the less things there are to go wrong.
