\Well, tomorrow is my very first Zoom call, and it just so happens to be with my VA doctor. Making a Zoom call for the very first time is scary enough. But making it with a doctor is even scarier, since the doctor might see spots all over my face and diagnose me with the plague instead of just needing a new computer screen. At least it saves me a drive to the VA clinic, so that's a plus.
I don't anticipate any problems with the doctor prescribing more blood thinner pills for me; I just hope the blood test I took last week doesn't show anything weird going on that would interfere with my winter travels.
I think I would prefer all my medical checkups to be done over the Internet. Looking back on what the doctor actually does while I'm there in person, Iām asked a bunch of questions that almost always begin and end with, "Do I have any suicidal thoughts?" And that's probably because PTSD is a big deal nowadays, so I have to remind the doctor that I was in the Air Force. And the Air Force is not big on giving anyone PTSD. And the only bad memory I have of my 4-year hitch was the incredibly small amount of money I was paid for often working 12 hours a day.

Vulture Peak, one of my favorite boondocking areas in Arizona.
The desert sunset crashes through the clouds, lighting up my entire boondocking area.
