Hot, hot, hot!

It's hot, I mean, really, really hot !!! It's been in the 90s lately, but now it's in the hundreds, and that's hard to deal with if you don't have electricity to run an air conditioner. the 10-day weather forecast is calling for high 90s, and three or four 100°+ days. Phoenix just set a record high for this date yesterday at 102. and is expected to set another record for the day at 107 this afternoon.

I can see why a lot of the boondockers around me have cleared out. Boondockers, at least most boondockers, don't have a way to run an air conditioner for very long, so much like me, they depend on moving to a better climate if it's too hot or too cold, but unfortunately, I seem to be surrounded by hot weather, even in Colorado, it's showing late spring temperatures in the 10-day forecast for Denver. I'm used to seeing temperatures like this in Arizona, but that's always in May, and that heat is what motivates me to head to Colorado, where it's springtime. But I don't dare go to Colorado just yet because the weather in Colorado can turn back to winter in one day.

So my choices are few; I can wait for this heat wave to move on, if it ever does. I can look for someplace in the Arizona mountains where it's cooler, or I can tough it out, but at my age, I'm not feeling all that tough, but what kind of boondocker would I be if I let a little heat run me off?

t could be a sunset, it could be a sunrise, who can tell anymore? The days are the same.... Hot. The nights are the same.... To warm. The only thing that isn't the same is Arizona, and it's pretty tough to deal with right now.

The Wickenburg Rodeo Arena .

Oh no! Do you know what this means? Since this is a leftover, unused picture from my stay at the Wickenburg rodeo boondocking area...... it means I've run out of current pictures.

Showing pictures of previous places is a last-ditch, desperate attempt to keep my blog posts relevant and up-to-date. This means that my pictures will be as stale as the meaningless drivel that I write about every day, and my only excuse is laziness, procrastination, and the desert heat that keeps everybody and everything except scorpions and rattlesnakes from moving during the daylight hours.
