A lack of mosquitoes and an abundance of big horn sheep.

I don't know for what reason, but I've seen more bighorn sheep at my property than I've seen the whole time I've owned the place. I'm guessing it's just a coincidence, because I can't think of any other reason.

Now that the winds have calmed down some, I've spent more time outside, and I have yet to see a mosquito. And I don't have any more reason for the lack of mosquitoes than for the inordinate number of bighorn Sheep running around.... But I'm not complaining about either one.

If I can work up enough ambition, I need to level this area where I like to park near my shooting bench. It's not too bad, but I do have to put a couple of leveling blocks under my rear tires to make my refrigerator work right. Doing this will require me to pick up a shovel and actually move some dirt, and since I'm left-handed and left-handed shovels are so hard to find, I normally avoid using one at all costs.

Many years ago, I manually leveled an area for my Arctic Fox fifth wheel near my shooting bench. Unfortunately, that area doesn't work for my truck and Lance camper, so I need to rework it so I can just pull in and park without having to level things up.

I could do it while I'm here, but my procrastination is telling me to put it off until I come back, whenever that will be. And my laziness is telling me it's easier to use leveling blocks than to rearrange the landscape. And my lack of ambition is telling me, "Why bother?"...

I'm sure glad I have so much help with these problems; it keeps me from overworking, which cuts into my relaxing time.

I spotted a new herd of bighorn sheep a couple of hundred yards away at the edge of the forest.

This was a different herd, and I could see that they had babies with them that looked like they had been born this spring.

They started walking toward where I'm boondocked, so I got beside the camper and stood still.

Finally, they got close enough for me to see the babies… More Bighorn baby pictures tomorrow.
