Concern about the Old Fat Man
Okay! I'm now officially worried. It's been two weeks since Barney, The Old Fat Man, posted to his blog at https://ofmadventures.blogspot.com/, and for a previously daily blogger, that's way too long.
I've stuck with the "computer problem" idea to explain Barney's absence. Still, two weeks is plenty of time to fix a computer problem, get someone else to fix your computer problem, use someone else's computer to send a brief message explaining your situation, or buy a new computer. So my "computer problem" explanation doesn't seem to be working anymore.
To me, that leaves two things that could've happened, which would generally be either okay or bad.
In the "okay" category, it could be....
1... He decided to stop writing a blog, for any one of a hundred different reasons.
2... It's taking him a lot longer to figure out what to do with his life than anyone thought.
3... Something more important came into his life than writing a blog, and that's taking all of his time to deal with.
Things that aren't good...
1... I think we can all fill in the blanks when a 78-year-old man, who may not be in the best of health, is pulling a trailer down the road, all of us old geezers with our poor hearing, failing eyesight, reaction times measured in minutes instead of seconds can relate to those kind of problems, and imagine how many things can go wrong living a life on the road.
